Garden Discovery A.M. June 30 - July 3, 9:00am-noon, Ages 4-5

Garden Discovery Camp is for kids ages 4-5 to explore gardening in a safe and fun environment! We will experience the wonder of growing our own food from planting seeds to tending to the garden and preparing our own snacks. Each day will include treasure hunts, bug exploration, cooking, tasting, and art! This camp will also have youth mentors through our Junior Counselor Program.


Garden Discovery P.M. June 30 - July 3, 1pm-4pm, Ages 4-5

Garden Discovery Camp is for kids ages 4-5 to explore gardening in a safe and fun environment! Junior Counselor Program June 30-July 3, 8:45am-4:00pm, Ages 10-14

The Junior Counselor Program is a mentorship opportunity for kids ages 10-14 to be junior counselors for the pre-K kids in the Garden Discovery Camp. This camp takes place from 8:45am-4pm, but there is an option to do half days: 8:45am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-4:00pm. Kids in the Junior Counselor program must be between 10-14 years old, enjoy playing with younger children, and be willing to help supervise and teach the pre-k kids. Lunch is provided. We have limited availability for this program, so all applicants will need to apply, take part in a short interview, and will NOT be automatically accepted. Bees, Bugs, and Butterflies July 7-10, 9am-2:30pm, Ages 6-8

Bees, Bugs, and Butterflies is for kids ages 6-8 who love catching grasshoppers, chasing butterflies, and all things bug-related. We will learn about what roles different insects play in the garden and how we can attract or deter them with what we plant. We will also plant seeds, tend to the garden, prepare garden-fresh snacks, play games, and make bug-related art! Lunch and a morning and afternoon snack are provided. Photo by Channing Johnson


Garden Artists July 14-17, 9am-2:30pm, Ages 6-8

Garden Artists is for kids ages 6-8 who love getting dirty and making art! We will make garden bracelets, do rainbow scavenger hunts, paint, and play with flowers. All kids will also plant seeds, tend to the garden, harvest veggies, and prepare delicious snacks! Each day will include time for gardening, making art, playing games, and cooking! Lunch and a morning and afternoon snack are provided.


Art in the Garden July 21-24, 9am-2:30pm, Ages 8-10

Art in the Garden is for kids ages 8-10 who love being creative and making things! We will use the garden as our studio to paint, dye, draw, color, and create! All kids will also take part in all aspects of making good food from planting seeds and tending to the garden to harvesting and preparing delicious snacks. Lunch and a morning and afternoon snack are provided.


Kid Chefs August 4-7, 9am-2:30pm, Ages 8-10

Kid chefs is for kids ages 8-10 who love cooking delicious food! We will learn about every step in the process of making good food from planting seeds and tending to the garden to harvesting veggies and cooking delicious snacks! We will learn about different food preparation techniques, how to safely and confidently use a knife, and how to be safe while preparing food for others. All kids will create a personalized recipe book to bring home. Lunch and a morning and afternoon snack are provided.


Chef Chronicles August 11-14, 9:30am-1pm, Ages 10-14

Chef Chronicles is for kids ages 10-14 who are very interested in honing their skills as young chefs. Most of this camp will focus on preparing delicious food including honing knife skills, learning how to use herbs and spices, and use safe food handling techniques. We will also do a bit of gardening and harvesting so everyone can know how to both cook and grow delicious food. Lunch and snacks are provided.


Counselor-in-Training July 7-10 OR July 14-17, 8:45am-3:00pm

The Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is new in 2025! This is a volunteer opportunity for youth ages 12-14 to work with younger kids (ages 6-8) for one week. Youth will be expected to assist the adult summer camp counselors in all aspects including prepping and leading gardening, cooking, and art activities, supervising and playing with kids, encouraging kind and respectful behavior, and cleaning up. Lunch and a morning and afternoon snack are provided. We have limited availability, so all applicants will need to apply, take part in a short interview, and will NOT be automatically accepted. All Kids Bloom (Scholarships & Discounts) & General Information

All Kids Bloom Program


We will never turn a child or family away because of inability to pay. We partner with local organizations to cover summer camp tuition and also offer scholarships and discounts for families who need them. There are guaranteed discounts for parents/guardians who work in CFSD6 and for families who use their school's Backpack Assistance program or SNAP/WIC/TANF. ANYONE can request a discount/scholarship and we do our best to accommodate all families. If you would like to request a discount or scholarship, please follow this link: Scholarship Application Form. You will either receive a code or be placed on a waitlist. If you receive a code, copy it and enter it on this registration form. If you are placed on the waitlist and need a scholarship, please wait to register until you have a code. We cannot refund for a scholarship after you have registered and paid. We reserve slots for scholarships and will reach out to you as soon as possible about your position on the scholarship waitlist. General Information

All camps are Monday-Thursday and take place at the Wildcat Garden. The Wildcat Garden is located at 279 Veteran Drive in Columbia Falls (Columbia Falls Junior High). Google maps location here. Lunch and a morning and afternoon snack are provided. Drop-off is available 30 minutes before camp starts and pick-up is available for 30 minutes after camp finishes each day. After you complete all the questions, there is a button that says "Add Another Youth Participant". Click this if you would like to register another participant.

    I agree to do the following while attending the Hands in the Dirt Summer Camps with Land to Hand MT:

    1. Be respectful of all living things (including other kids, instructors, volunteers, insects, plants, etc)
    2. Keep my hands to myself
    3. Choose kindness
    4. Use walking feet in the garden (no running)
    5. Ask an adult before I pick (or eat) anything
    6. Always wash my hands before cooking, eating, and after using the bathroom
    7. Don’t yuck anyone’s yum (express likes and dislikes kindly)
    8. I will share any allergy or relevant medical information with Land to Hand BEFORE camp starts

    Hands in the Dirt Cancellation Policy 2025

    If you need to cancel:

    1. If you cancel prior to June 1, 2025, you will receive a full refund of your payment, minus a $25 processing fee for each session canceled. The fees increase if you cancel after June 1st.
    Example: If you cancel for two kids, there would be two $25 processing fees for a total of $50.

    2. If you cancel between June 1, 2025 and up to fifteen (15) business days (3 weeks) prior to your camp start date, you will receive a refund for each session purchased, minus a $50 fee.
    Example: if your camp starts on July 21st, if you cancel between June 1 and June 27th, you will receive a full refund minus a $50 processing fee. If you have two kids registered and cancel during this time window, there will be a $50 processing fee for each kid for a total of $100.

    3. No credit or refunds will be provided if you cancel within fifteen (15) business days of your camp start date.

    If Land to Hand needs to cancel:

    1. If Land to Hand cancels due to state, county or school health orders or mandates, you will receive a 90% refund and a 10% credit that can be used through August 31, 2028.

    2. If Land to Hand cancels for any other reason, you will receive a 100% refund.

    Air Quality

    Land to Hand will do its best to ensure that camp is not canceled due to air quality issues. It is possible, however, that camp activities may have to be modified due to air quality to align with statewide guidance for children’s time outside and physical activity.

    A signed waiver by event participant or parent/guardian will be required before you can complete your registration. A link to obtain waivers for all registrants will be shown on the confirmation page.
